Copying/Moving Files/Folders

The option Copy/Move allows users to do the following:

Copy a specific file/folder and place it in a desired location on the drive.

This action places the copy of selected file without removing it from its original location.

Move a specific file/folder to a desired location on drive

This action removes the file from its original location

To copy or move a file/folder

Select a file/folder, right-click on it, and then click Copy/Move

The Drive folders are displayed in a small window. Double-click on each folder to see files/folders inside it.

For example, the following screen is displayed when users double-clicked “My Drive”.

Perform the following actions as per the requirement:

Click COPY to place the same copy without removing it from its original location. After clicking COPY, a message “Successfully copied” appears at the bottom of the page.

Click MOVE HERE to remove the file/folder from its original location and move it to the selected location. After clicking MOVE HERE, A message “Successfully moved” appears at the bottom of the page.

To create new folder at the selected location, click new folder icon . The moment the folder icon is clicked, a text box appears on the Drive window as shown below.

Enter the new folder name in the text box.

Click CREATE. The newly created folder opens up in the Drive window. Users can copy or move the file/folder to the newly created folder.

To close the Drive window, click close icon
