Trashing a File/Folder

Trash option is used to remove the file/folder temporarily. When a file is trashed, it will be moved to the Trash folder and will be stored there for 30 days. After that, the file is permanently deleted. During these 30 days period, users can restore or permanently delete the file/folder.

To trash/remove the file/folder temporarily:

Select the file, right-click on it, and then click Trash. A message “Successfully moved to Trash” appears at the bottom of page.

Trash menu now displays the removed file “Solix_ExAPPS.jpg”

To perform actions on the trashed file/folder:

Right-click on the trashed folder. The following options are displayed when users right-click on the trashed item.

To restore the file/folder to its original location, click Restore. A message appears at the bottom of the page to notify that the restore was successful.

To permanently remove it from Trash, click Permanent Delete. Whenever user clicks the Permanent Delete option, a warning message appears on the screen to notify that the file/folder will be permanently deleted.

Click PERMANENT DELETE to proceed with the deletion. A success message appears at the bottom of the page to notify that the deletion was success.

Click CANCEL to cancel the deletion activity.
