The option External Sharing allows users to share file/folder data by using the following:
Guest Accounts: The files/folders can be shared with Created Guest user account with permissions to access like (Edit, Commenter, View, Preview & Upload).
Link Sharing: The user can directly access the file/folder data with provided URL/Link.
To share file/folder using Guest Accounts:
- Mouse hover External sharing and click Guest Accounts.
- Click drop-down to select created guest user accounts.
- Click the drop-down to provide access permissions for guest accounts.
- Click Share.
To share file/folder using Link Sharing:
- Mouse hover External sharing and click Link Sharing
- Name/Context: Provide Name/Context for sending external sharing link
- Password (optional): Provide a password if required
- Re-enter password (Optional): Re-enter the provided password
- Link expiration date: Provide expiration date for the link
- Allow Download: Enable/Disable the download option
- Link Status: Enable/Disable the link status as required
- Click Generate Link
- Linked shared notification successfully will pop up
- An external sharing link will be created, copied, and shared
Note: Any existing links will be shown, which can be used to enable/disable, edit and delete.
